Just weeks apart from one another, we learned not only that Aston Martin was working on its own hybridized V-6 and that the version found in the Valhalla supercar will be named TM01,after the great Tadek Marek. Now, thanks to a new interview between Aston CEO, Andy Palmer, and Autocar, we’ve learned even more about the sheer versatility of the TM01 and what the future holds for it.

As it turns out, it’s going to be spread across the entire Aston range over the next few years – an important development, no doubt. Can you believe the P1 is currently in its eighth year of existence? We surely can’t. And needless to say, a replacement is coming, but according to McLaren officials, don’t expect it before 2024.The McLaren P1 has its special place in the automotive hall of fame because it put the Woking-based carmaker back on the super sports car map and provided a fierce rival for the likes of LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder.

But the hybrid-powered P1 is aging, and a new supercar will take its place eventually. Add Lamborghini to the growing list of automakers that have stepped up to help medical frontliners in their fight against the COVID-19 virus. The Italian automaker has started production of face masks and protective shields for health workers at Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna, Italy.Lamborghini is targeting a production rate of 1,000 face masks and 200 face shields per day. The supercar brand is the latest automaker to lend a helping hand to the medical frontliners who have had to fight a staggering number of recorded cases in Italy. As of April 1, 2020, Italy has recorded 110,574 cases of those affected by the virus. Of that figure, a total of 13,155 people have died while 16,874 have recovered from the deadly virus. Most of today’s supercars are well out of the budget of normal folks.

That’s a fact. We can argue until the cows come home, but there are reasons why exotic cars routinely command six-figure price tags. But just because that’s the case for brand-new models, that doesn’t mean you can’t find cheap supercars. Most of of what counts as affordable supercars are typically the ones that are pre-owned. There are a lot of used supercars for sale, ranging from old Italian exotics to modern American performance machines. If for nothing else, this proves that just because brand-new supercars are out of most people’s financial reach, that doesn’t mean you can’t find sweet deals for used exotic cars for sale. We’ve compiled a list of these cheap supercars that you can buy for less than $50,000. Chironbased Centodieci in Pebble Beach back in 2019, a lot of jaws dropped.

Yet as it always happens whenever a new car/special edition breaks out, naysayers were quick to comment that the Centodieci was just another glorified Bugatti with no connection to the original EB110 other than some styling cues. The thing is, it’s hard not to be subjective when it comes to Bugatti. It’s also pretty hard not to love the brand once you learn its history. But for those who raised their eyebrows at the sight of the Centodieci, here’s a motorsport-y twist on the EB110. Ar defender 2 5 2. The first example of the iconic McLaren F1 GTR Longtail, one of only 10 built, is being listed for sale by Tom Hartley Jnr. Arguably one of the most important McLarens ever produced, this specific model was a factory development car and one of only two GTR prototypes that ended up in private hands.

The other one is currently owned by former Pink Floyd drummer and renowned car collector Nick Mason. The seller hasn’t listed a price for the supercar, but it’s safe to say it will change hands for more than $5 million.

As incredible as it may seem, Aston Martin hasn’t had a production-ready engine built in-house since 1968. That’s about to change once the mid-engined Valhalla hits the streets in 2022.We’ve known for a long time that the Valhalla will be gifted with an F1-inspired, turbocharged and electrified V-6, and we recently reported that Aston Martin was hard at work on this very engine.

Super

We had no idea, however, it will pay homage to one of the industry’s most creative engineering minds. Enter the TM01, named after the great Tadek Marek. Just so we’re clear, Lamborghini isn’t keen on jumping head-first into the electrification bandwagon. So far, Sant’Agata Bolognese has been keen on tipping its toes into the ocean with the Aventador-based, V-12-hybrid Sian FKP 37, but the company’s officials are adamant that an all-electric Lambo won’t arrive earlier than 2026.If that’s the case, then let’s play the following scenario: the year is 2090, Lamborghini has a couple of EV supercars on offer, yet an extremely affluent and eccentric collector decides to retrofit his Lamborghini Countach with an all-electric powertrain and a cyberpunk-like appearance. What would that look like?
