Dozens of unlockable trophies. All new quest system!. Rated 5 out of5 byLAndersen fromBetter - and harder - than the first Farmington Tales I bought this one straight after completing Farmington Tales. And it was great to return to Dahlia Farm.Improvements include voice overs, more (and IMO better) mini games, more detailed graphics and even better music. The storyline is less 'serious' than in the first one, and the voice acting helps create a light and humourous atmosphere.Be warned though - the HO scenes can be rather difficult and I'm glad I've got my big monitor. Even so, I have to occasionally resort to using hints.

Rated 5 out of5 byklackland4 fromMy first thought was 'AAAAHHHHHHH.' I played the first Farmington Tales game, and felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. I love hidden object games and farming games, and puzzles.

Both games have all three. The puzzles could use a little more challenge, but the HOS are perfect. I like how the game opens up a scene at a time, once you finish one scene another area opens up. I loved the first one so much, I bought the second version sight unseen, something I rarely do, even with 'sequels' to my favorites. I loved this game! I highly recommend it. I loved the original Farmington Tales, and this game just delivers an even better, more improved experience. You don't have to have played the original to get into this one; it has a lot of cut scenes and introduction material to get newcomers up to speed (but you can click past these easily). The game is a combination hidden-object game and farm simulation; you do the HO scenes to get money that you use to buy farm improvements. There are loads more improvements this time around-and the farming advances depend upon improving the farm, a very nice touch. The graphics are simply adorable-this isn't just a trash-heap hidden object game; the objects kinda fit where they are set, and the suggested improvements mostly make sense for a real farm. I don't think there's a time limit to get the farm totally improved, like in the first game, but the side quests are even more clever (Firefly/Serenity fans will find a lot to giggle at here). The clincher for purchasing this game for me was that the quests now run along the bottom of the screen so you can always see what you need to find-a very welcome code improvement.

I used to have to keep a piece of paper by my desk with them all!The puzzles are difficult for me, but they can be easily skipped, as in the first game, thank goodness. I'm just not a puzzles person. So all in all, this is one of the better HO games out there. If you're tired of 'dark' storylines and want something lighthearted, this is a definite recommend from me.

Rated 5 out of5 byGamerBridget fromMaximum fun! I finally was able to complete the game play for the new Farmington Tales 2: Winter Crop and I must say, it was a really enjoyable experience! There were so many varied things to do in the game. In addition to the nicely drawn hidden object scenes(with their neat little challenges to find objects in certain orders), there were a plethora of mini-games (most very fun, although I did find the Tetris-like game a bit confusing), farm upgrades to manage and, oh, yeah-crops to grow! The story, like the previous one in the original, was quite entertaining, with a cast of quirky, but mostly lovable characters. The dialogue had a tendency to run a bit long, but the voice acting was top-notch, and the accompanying soundtrack was very listenable. This game is a great one for the whole family! Rated 5 out of5 byCapri66 fromUnique This is a very unique game, a combination of HO game and Farm Sim with Fix it Up gameplay elements.

I did not yet see any game that is similar. The Farm Sim part is laid back, very relaxing. The soothing country style music adds to the overall relaxing experience. The HO scenes are great, no junkpile. There is so much to do, there?s quests, trophys, minigames, bonus goals etc.

And Farmington Tales 2 fits it all together very well. And it?s long. My favourite game now. Rated 5 out of5 bydyingjoy fromA Ton of Fun in this Snowy Sequel I enjoyed the first game a lot, and would have been happy with a sequel that just continued the HO/Time Management fun, but Farmington Tales 2 is a lot more than that. The story has the same funny charm as the first one, and comes to you through short interactions with the farm's zany characters rather than through long cut scenes, so it is easy to zip past if you don't care about it.The new, snowy farm is a lot of fun to work with, and I enjoyed setting up rows of greenhouses for my plants. There are ton of puzzles that pop up between the HO scenes to keep you on your toes, and a seemingly endless supply of clever quests for you to pick up. Each one has a little joke or pop culture reference hidden in it, and adding those extra items to find among the various HO scenes adds some more challenge. The HO scenes are gorgeous, and I really enjoyed seeing the snow drifting to the ground in the outdoor scenes.

Each scene has not only the standard items list, but also gems you can find to unlock more HO scenes, special items to complete quests, and a series of challenges that appear at the top of the screen to complete (anything from find 3 items in alphabetical order to find an item before the hint bird points it out). Each scene has so much to do that it always feels fresh and new.The 1 hour trial zipped by in a blink, and from what I could tell there is even more content than the first game, which I played for many, many hours. I had barely begun to fix up the farm in the first hour.this is a definite buy for me.Hope the review helps.I am off heading back to Farmington. Rated 5 out of5 bynelliebj fromYay, another Farmington Tales I didn't even bother with the trial, just bought it sight unseen.

And I am not disappointed. Same scenes as the original, with the same requirements but really, that's what I wanted. The first one was so great, it couldn't help but be just as great. The mini games are ok.

I don't like all of them but you can skip. You lose a little money for skipping but in the end, it's worth it if you don't want to spend time on game you don't enjoy. Some are good.I like that it is untimed and that you have a few 'quests'. The developers of this game have done a good job. Items are easy to find, if looking, hints are quickly refilled and it's just so much fun.Love this game.

Rated 5 out of5 bystars4J fromI?m Dreaming of a Winter Wonderland.and here it is. The graphics are beautiful with snow falling (which you can toggle off if you wish), and the snow in the outdoor scenes looks so realistic you want to make a snow angel!!At the beginning, the familiar characters and the original farm layout from the first game make this almost like a homecoming, but changes are coming soon to Dahlia Farms. The voice-overs are excellent and the storyline is unique. There are even more things to do than in the first game, and again, it?s a really long game and one that can be played and enjoyed over and over. I love this game and I hope there will be a Farmington Tales 3 in the near future.
