You can be put on a team with randoms who are very inexperienced and will contribute to the loss. Nothing against new people joining and playing, the more the merrier. But for the championship event, I feel it would be better to have a higher trophy level restriction to avoid the above happening. The power level differences in matchmaking don't matter. I have my own power 1 brawler (crow) at 500 trophies. Another problem I've read about is teaming in solo game modes. Again, that behavior is horrible, and I would never do such a thing, except it's easily counterable if you are skilled enough. This game is extremely good.'

I played for a while and I hate playing in teams, you can't rely on them and can't expect that they will play.
